In the last few weeks, we have announced the update of our standard of production as well as our management guide. They are now available on our Novocenter, with updated information and a fresh new visual. With this new standard and new recommendations, we aim to incorporate the latest genetic improvements in our parent and commercial stock.

In fact, over the past years, significant progress has been made by our R&D team to enhance the performance of our birds in terms of productivity, egg quality, behaviour, and more. Our innovative selection program provides invaluable information, allowing us to offer the best birds possible to the market. However, the full expression of the genetic potential is only possible through good management and experienced poultry farmers. Feed and feeding techniques are important keys that allow to express the genetic potential of layers, in terms of productivity, egg quality and behaviour.
At Novogen, we believe in close collaboration. The valuable exchange of ideas with our clients and egg farmers provide crucial data, enabling us to continuously validate the genetic evolution of Novogen breeds. For this new update of our nutritional recommendations, we have been monitoring and comparing performance parameters and nutritional values of feeds that are used by our top performing clients and our pure lines. Results show that our birds can preserve their feed intake capacity while being productive and persistent, resulting in a good feed conversion ratio at the end of production.

In addition to performance, we also considered today’s market price volatility and variability of available raw materials. This led us to adopt different approaches in the feed formulation to ensure that we provide the essential nutrients to layers while maintaining feed presentation quality. We prepared this new nutrition advice for both parent stock and commercial flocks for both NOVOgen Brown and White.
We believe that this new guide will contribute to reaching the genetic potential of our layers. Without doubt, in different environmental conditions, sanitary conditions, production targets, local legislations and animal welfare can have specific nutritional needs. In this case, adapting to these specific conditions is a key. In all cases, they must be interpreted and adjusted by a local nutritionist depending on observed performances. We will continue to be at your service to give specific suggestions depending on your local conditions.
